The blanket is beautiful. And I love the bear as well. I have a quilt that belonged to my grandmother that is in very bad shape, I might take your mother's idea and make some bears out of it. My son probably wouldn't be too keen on one, but my niece most certainly would. And someday there may be grand kids, who knows.
I've never had the patience to knit a blanket, even a baby one. Since two of my pastor's adult kids are having babies this spring, this would probably be a good time for me to try it.
*SIGH*....so very sweet, Tracy! This photograph is so dreamy...I'd love to cuddle up in the blankie. That is a nice yarn to work with too...the white looks like snow! Happy Days :o) ((HUGS))
I love this blanket...enough so that I cast on and have knit the first 16 rows! I've been bemoaning the fact that both projects on the needles require a lot of concentration (extensive cables and short rows) and needed some relaxing knitting. This fit the bill and I'm even using stash yarn!
Thanks for sharing Tracy and I agree, the photo is gorgeous.
Nice blanket! I see that we have similar tastes. I made a baby blanket very similar to yours. Check it out: http://heavenlybabies.us/wp-content/uploads/blogger/img/158/3346/1024/Blanket.Star3.jpg
Thanks for commenting on Mr. Cheeky Monkey. Last night I added little brown lips to soften up his face!
