Back to Knitting

I started knitting a small hat for The Preemie Project a few days ago. I was trying for size 1-3 lbs, but when I realized it would be smaller, I decided to make it part of a bereavement set (Micro Bunting).

So tiny. It will fit a baby less than 1 lb.

Simple hat and socks (Easy Socks) to match.

May God bring peace and comfort to the family that receives this gift.

  3. It's a beautiful set. It's hard sometimes working on these items, but I'm sure it will be a comfort to the family who needs it. Your blankets are wonderful, too. Such patience you must have!

  7. I have just started doing bereavement garments for Claremore Regional Hospital Claremore, OK. I volunteer there and set the information desk three days a week so knit while setting there. When I'm home I work on cloth projects. I will be working on cloth blankets soon. I talked to a couple hospitals not far from Claremore and they would love to have a few of the garments also. Do you know of any one that offers thread or material for free or low cost?
Thank you for your help. I want to knit some of the little dresses and am planing on crocheting some outfits for babies of parents that don't have a lot of money. The dress will be for the baby to go home in. When I get the next dress made if you like I would send you the pattern and pictures of it.
