I have one last finished object of 2007 to share.
For My Sister's Birthday
Calorimetry
Yarn: 2-ply Handspun Worsted Weight
Needles: US 7
Changes:
-Cast on 96 stitches.
-Worked Row 5 eleven times.
I bought a jar of old buttons in an antique store a few years ago. In it were several of these turquoise colored buttons. It's a good match.
Now, on to something new for 2008.
Swatches for Two Possible Projects
So pretty! I love the color!
ReplyDeleteThat is very nice. I think I'll have to knit one or two or lots in the near future.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the new projects!
I love how that looks in handspun - lovely!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to see how things turn out in your own handspun? It never gets old ;o)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have that pattern printed out and haven't used it yet. Thanks for reminding me.

Ooh, I love your calorimetry. That yarn is so pretty! I made one for my dd last year and it was too big, though she insists she loves it and wears it. I did sew on an extra button so she could snug it up more in the back. I knew it wouldn't show with her long hair.
ReplyDeleteI need to try another one with the changes.
The calorimetry turned out really nice. The colors are just scrumptious! Love how it verigates ever so gently! I'll have to make one for my DD to go with her almost finished scarf. What are your next projects> Are they a secrect?
ReplyDeletePretty yarn and finished object!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project. I will have to look closer at that. I am blessed to have some great buttons passed down from grandmothers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color. My daughter always says that she wishes we lived somewhere cold so she could wear "cool" stuff. I think your calorimetry fits in that category.
