It's still too warm for wool here, but John has gotten plenty of use out of his hand knit socks on business trips to colder climates. I wasn't quite finished with this pair before he left on Sunday, so he'll be seeing them completely finished for the first time when he reads this post. Hope you like them, Honey!
Basic Short-Row Sock
Worked on 68 stitches
Needles: US 1 1/2 (2.5 mm)
Yarn: Mountain Colors Bearfoot
Color: Granite Peak
I love the warm colorway of the yarn. It's very manly. John is a blessed man to have hand knits for his feet!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THE SOCKS.I KNOW JOHN WILL TO.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteI've been the envy of all here in Wintergreen VA as the weather has been quite nippy the past two days.
Never fear - I have my new hat, my green scarf, and I'm wearing my Red-Tailed Hawk socks.
I can't wait to try out the new ones.
I love the picture and the props.
For those who are wondering, these are drift seeds I've been collecting and you can see more at http://beachbeans.blogspot.com
Love you
John
Lovely. Like your photo styling.
ReplyDeletethat is a really nice colorway. I could see my dad wearing socks like that. I've been a little disappointed that all my husband wants to wear are the white athletic socks that come in a package of 87 (or so) at costco.
ReplyDeleteKudos, you have done it again!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading John's comment, too. What fun
Those are handsome socks and the colorway is nice and masculine!
ReplyDeleteI love your props, too, and John's note.
Lucky John! With a wife who knits as well as you do, he'll never want for warm clothing!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors, the yarn looks very 'masculine'. You always choose perfect yarn for all your projects!
That is a great colorway for a man. Doesn't if feel so good to finish a pair of socks! How do you wash your hand knit socks?
ReplyDeleteNot too cold here for wool - those look wonderful!
ReplyDeletePerfect man socks. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThe socks are beautiful, and your hubby obviously appreciates your efforts. What a sweet comment he left you. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love how identical they are! And it's so nice to read how much you love him and he obviously you and your efforts. You two are blessed. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love about Bearfoot?
ReplyDeleteVery handsome socks!
ReplyDeleteThe colorway is perfect for a guy!
ReplyDelete(We tend to knit a lot when they are out of town!) Fabulous socks ~ have a wonderful weekend.
