The Circle Vest

I love to knit. I knit almost every day. I can see myself knitting for the rest of my life. But, it has become clear to me that writing about my knitting projects is not something I have a heart for anymore. From now on I'll be keeping project notes on Ravelry only and blogging about day-to-day happenings on my photo blog, One Snap. Thank you for following Wool Windings all these years. I'm a better knitter because of your encouragement.

The last project featured on this blog is a very cleverly designed vest called Circle Vest.

Yarn: Noro Silk Garden

Color: 267 Taupes/Blue

Modification: Added a button for a better fit in the front.

The armholes are finished with slip-stitch crochet.

The back is the star of the show.

More notes and pictures here.

First off, that vest is just about the most gorgeous knit thing I've ever seen. Seriously, it is eye-popping. You better be prepared to be stopped a lot when you're wearing it.

Secondly, I'm REALLY going to miss Wool Windings. I'm just so very thankful that I got a chance to know you while you were blogging here, so that our friendship is now established.

I'm going to have to start going to Ravelry more often, so I can keep up with what all you are doing.

Are all your patterns that you have here on Wool Windings available through Ravelry? I'd hate to lose my access to them.

PS-I'm enjoying your daily photo blog. Your photography skills rival your knitting skills.

I do understand your reasoning for giving up the blog, but it will be sorely missed.

I'm enjoying your photo blog, too and often want to tell you how much I like a certain photo. I'll miss this blog but understand your desire to live your life without documenting it all. I'll be watching on Ravelry!

Tracy, I am going to miss reading your blog. I have visited One Snap as often as I have seen a posting. I have enjoyed both. If I need project ideas I will check past postings. They have been so useful in inspiring me to knit preemie projects and so many other things. I will check you on Ravelry to keep up with your latest projects. It's been a pleasure!

I won't miss you a bit! ;D I'm right there with you, on Ravelry. I saw your fabulous vest last night, just waited to comment on your blog. I won't do that again--I'll comment on the Rav right away.
There are times when I don't feel like blogging either, though I've not made up my mind to quit yet. Maybe when I've been blogging as long as you have...if I make it that long. Best wishes! Enjoy your pretty spring weather!

I will miss Wool Windings, Tracy, but half the reason I go to your blog is to read about your thoughts and experiences with your family, so I guess I'll just be checking out One Snap periodically....and there's always Ravelry.

I, too will be watching for your projects on Ravelry.
And I agree, that writing about it on a blog can get tiresome.
It's all about the knit, isnt it :-) I too, am a life long knitter, and see myself knitting until I can no longer hold the needles.
I've enjoyed reading your blog, and wish you all the best
