Colorado

We arrived in Colorado this afternoon.

The weather is beautiful and we're looking forward to being outside most of the time. Lots of fishing and hiking is planned along with a shopping trip at the Estes Park Wool Market on Saturday. We're here until Monday and then we fly to Salt Lake City.

The sock I started has grown a bit. I took a picture of it at the pond in Longmont where we fished tonight. It's hard to see, but the stitch pattern I'm using is garter rib. It's an easy stitch, just perfect for travel knitting. The yarn is Happy Feet by Plymouth Yarn Co.

I won't be on the computer much this weekend, but I'll check in when I can next week. See you then.

  1. I can visualize the drive up to Estes Park from Longmont in my mind (yes, we've been that way a time or two). I've already said how I envy you, so I won't repeat myself...much. I envy you! ;-)

I love the sock color. It looks great in that picture against the greens and blues.

  5. Awwww! I can just feel the clean and COOL air. We had thought about driving through Colorado this summer on the way to the Midwest, but decided that flying was cheaper this year. Too bad:(

  6. I envy your trip and all the wonderful scenery! I have a cousin getting married in Montana in a couple weeks and it's killing me that we can't go!! (we figured the gas alone would be $1000 dollars) Someday I really want to take the boys out west.

  7. Cute picture of the sock in front of the pond. One of the bloggers who frequently knits socks takes a picture of the sock she's working on in front of every place she visits on her vacations. It was really fun watching it grow and seeing its travels as she posted pictures each day.
