SpinKnit

I began SpinKnit last month by spinning some Columbia/Dorset roving into a two-ply bulky yarn.

This month I finished up SpinKnit by knitting the cream colored yarn I spun and some black brown handspun from my stash.

Knitted pillows are a great way to enjoy wool year round, especially if you live in a warm climate like I do. And, I think they are good projects for showing off hand spun yarn.

Spin, knit...enjoy!

  1. Tracy, that pillow is so nice. The yarn looks cushy and soft. I've been wanting to knit a pillow with the button band. In fact, I think I have a Debbie Bliss with a similar pattern in it, but I like the one you've used better.

  6. Looks great! Love the pattern. I must knit with more of my handspun.

ryc: Thanks! I still have 4 more to assemble, but the beading and wire twisting for the legs has been terrible for my carpel tunnel.

  9. Your blog is so inspiring. Love the pillow and the cookies and cream name, too cute. Your clapotis looks beautiful on you from a couple of posts back. I only wear mine for warmth as a scarf but it looks great as a wrap, too. Great work. Those baby cable socks are wonderful. That yarn sounds like Fixation with the springy quality.
